Annie C. Shackelford

With a deep commitment to women’s mental health, I bring years of specialized experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

My career began over two decades ago in the hospital system, where I supported pregnant, HIV+ women, navigating chronic illness. This early chapter formed the foundation of my work, which eventually expanded to a diverse population facing interconnected mental health and physical challenges. Throughout my time in both hospital settings and private practice, I have provided psychotherapy alongside practical support, including disability accommodations and mental health evaluations. Today, I am deeply privileged to work with countless women navigating the complexities of reproductive health across the lifespan. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and use self-exploration as a tool for lasting growth.

My own lived experience as a mother, wife, daughter, and friend deeply informs my empathy, bringing a grounded understanding of the multifaceted roles and relationships my clients navigate every day. Yet, while these personal roles shape my compassion, your unique background and perspective remain the ultimate guide for our work together.
